Description

Perfectly crispy, caramelized pork belly bites with a sweet and spicy honey sriracha glaze, made quickly and easily in the air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork belly, skin removed if preferred
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork belly into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss pork belly cubes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Place pork belly bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  5. Air fry for 10 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the pieces with tongs.
  6. Continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. While pork cooks, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and fresh lime juice in a small saucepan over low heat.
  8. Warm gently for 2-3 minutes until combined and slightly thickened, stirring gently. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between.
  9. Transfer crispy pork belly bites back to the mixing bowl.
  10. Pour warm honey sriracha glaze over the bites and toss gently to coat evenly.
  11. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
  12. Serve immediately for best crunch.

Notes

Pat pork belly dry thoroughly to ensure crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even crisping. Use fresh lime juice for best glaze flavor. Adjust sriracha to preferred spice level. Save rendered pork fat for cooking other dishes. Toss pork bites in glaze while warm for better adhesion.
