  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and easy recipe for crispy, sweet-spicy shrimp made in the air fryer in just 20 minutes. Perfect for fast dinners, snacks, or appetizers with a flavorful honey and Old Bay seasoning glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels to help seasoning stick and get crispy texture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt until evenly coated.
  3. Drizzle honey over shrimp and gently toss again to distribute without overmixing.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  5. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
  6. Cook shrimp for 4-5 minutes, then flip using tongs or spatula.
  7. Cook another 4-5 minutes until shrimp are pink, opaque, and crispy around edges.
  8. Transfer shrimp to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

Pat shrimp dry before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Toss shrimp with honey right before cooking to avoid sticky clumps or burning. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Flip shrimp halfway through cooking for even crisping. Serve immediately for best texture. Leftovers can be reheated in air fryer or skillet to regain crispiness; avoid microwaving.
