Description

Quick and easy garlic knots made in the air fryer, crispy on the outside and soft inside, coated with a flavorful parmesan garlic butter. Ready in just 20 minutes using simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) store-bought pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons (60g) unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 teaspoons)
  • ½ cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a roughly 12×10 inch rectangle.
  2. Cut the dough into 12 strips about 1 inch wide.
  3. Tie each strip into a loose knot and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Melt butter gently in a small saucepan or microwave.
  5. Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using; let sit for a minute to infuse.
  6. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
  7. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) if needed.
  8. Place garlic knots in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  9. Air fry for 7-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Transfer hot knots to a mixing bowl and pour warm parmesan garlic butter over them.
  11. Use tongs or a silicone brush to coat each knot thoroughly.
  12. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Tie knots loosely to keep them soft and airy. Use fresh garlic for best flavor. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even crispiness. Serve immediately to avoid sogginess. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 320°F for 2-3 minutes to regain crispiness. Can be baked in oven at 400°F for 12-15 minutes if no air fryer is available.
