Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices sourdough bread (thick-cut)
- 2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 slices deli turkey
- Handful of pickled jalapeños
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Butter the bread: Spread a generous amount of butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Assemble your sandwich: Place one slice of bread butter-side down on a plate or cutting board. Layer on the mozzarella, cheddar, turkey, and pickled jalapeños. Spread the Dijon mustard on the second slice of bread (non-buttered side) and place it on top, butter-side up.
- Heat the skillet: Warm your skillet over medium heat.
- Grill the sandwich: Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side. Press down gently with a spatula to help everything stick together. Flip carefully.
- Let it rest: Remove from the skillet and let it cool slightly before slicing.
