Ultimate Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger Recipe – Best Juicy & Loaded Burger

  • Author: Nora Winslow
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A juicy, loaded bacon ranch cheeseburger with crispy bacon, melty cheddar, and homemade ranch dressing, perfect for a barbecue or indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 4 leaves romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 4 thick slices ripe tomato
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients: Slice the tomato and onion, wash the lettuce, and set the buns aside. Make your ranch dressing if homemade. (5 minutes)
  2. Cook the bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease. (10 minutes)
  3. Season the beef: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently to avoid overworking the beef. (5 minutes)
  4. Form the patties: Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking. (2 minutes)
  5. Cook the patties: Heat your grill or skillet to medium-high. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping once. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt. (8-10 minutes)
  6. Toast the buns: Brush the cut sides of the buns with butter and toast them on the grill or skillet until golden brown. (2 minutes)
  7. Assemble the burgers: Spread ranch dressing on both sides of the bun. Add the patty, bacon slices, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun. (3 minutes)

Notes

[‘Resist pressing down on the patties while cooking to retain juices.’, ‘Use fresh ingredients for better flavor.’, ‘Let the patties rest for a couple of minutes after cooking to keep them juicy.’, ‘Customize the ranch dressing with hot sauce or fresh herbs for added flavor.’, ‘Experiment with different cheeses or toppings for unique variations.’]
