Description
Tender, juicy chicken smothered in a sweet maple glaze, layered with crispy bacon, and tucked into soft slider buns. Perfect for parties or busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- 6–8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
- 2 tbsp (30g) Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp (15g) butter
- 12 slider buns (e.g., Hawaiian rolls)
- Optional toppings: pickles, shredded lettuce, caramelized onions
Instructions
- Cook the bacon: Heat skillet over medium heat and cook bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- Prepare the chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into slider-sized pieces.
- Make the maple glaze: Combine maple syrup and Dijon mustard in a small saucepan. Heat over low, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Assemble the sliders: Toast slider buns lightly if desired. Layer each bun with a piece of chicken, a slice of bacon, and a drizzle of maple glaze. Add optional toppings like pickles or lettuce.
