Description
Tender, flaky salmon glazed with a caramelized, sweet-savory honey garlic sauce, ready in under 20 minutes for a quick and delicious dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (~6oz each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional garnishes: chopped parsley, sesame seeds, or sliced green onions
Instructions
- Pat your salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
- Heat your skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is shimmering, you’re ready to go.
- Place the fillets skin-side down if they have skin. Cook without moving them for 4-5 minutes, until they’re golden brown and release easily from the pan. Flip and cook the other side for another 4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon. Spoon the glaze over the fillets as they cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the pan and drizzle any remaining glaze over the top. Garnish with parsley, sesame seeds, or green onions if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
[‘Let the salmon cook undisturbed for the full 4-5 minutes on the first side to achieve a golden crust.’, ‘Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.’, ‘Be gentle when flipping the salmon to avoid breaking the fillets.’, ‘Customize the glaze with red pepper flakes for heat or extra lemon juice for tanginess.’]
