Description
This German Chocolate Poke Cake is a delightful dessert that combines moist chocolate cake with rich coconut and pecan frosting, creating a celebration of flavors and textures.
Ingredients
- Chocolate Cake Mix
- Coconut Milk
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Coconut Flakes
- Pecans
- Whipped Topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, coconut milk, and any other ingredients required by the package. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
- Pour the batter into your greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake according to the package instructions, usually about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once the cake is baked, let it cool for about 10 minutes. Then, use a skewer or fork to poke holes all over the cake.
- In a separate bowl, combine your sweetened condensed milk with some coconut milk. Pour this mixture over the cake, allowing it to fill those holes. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to soak in.
- In another bowl, mix together coconut flakes, chopped pecans, and whipped topping.
- After the cake has cooled completely, spread the coconut pecan mixture evenly over the top.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
