- 8 oz (225g) linguine or fettuccine
- 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
- 4 tablespoons (60g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Slice sirloin steak into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the steak: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak strips and cook 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the noodles: Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine everything: Add noodles, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat.
- Add the steak: Return steak to the skillet and toss everything together until heated through.
- Garnish and serve: Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use fresh garlic and cook noodles al dente. Avoid burning the garlic to maintain the rich, savory flavor.
