A warm and comforting casserole with buttery pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and a rich, creamy sauce made effortlessly in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 ounces frozen pierogies (potato and cheese-filled recommended)
- 16 ounces kielbasa, sliced into coins
- 8 ounces cream cheese (full-fat preferred)
- 1 cup sour cream

Instructions
- Slice the kielbasa into coins and prepare optional add-ins like caramelized onions or cooked bacon.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Grease the inside of your slow cooker. Layer frozen pierogies, kielbasa slices, and half of the sauce. Repeat with a second layer of pierogies, kielbasa, and remaining sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours until pierogies are tender and sauce is bubbling.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cook for an additional 10 minutes until melted.
- Serve hot and season with extra salt and pepper if needed.
Notes
[‘Keep pierogies frozen when adding to the crock pot to prevent them from becoming mushy.’, ‘Use full-fat dairy for a richer and creamier sauce.’, ‘Layer ingredients evenly for consistent flavor in every bite.’, ‘Add crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne for a spicy kick.’, ‘Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and sauce to thicken.’]
