Ideal for family dinners or cozy nights, it’s a rich and satisfying meal. Serve it on its own or pair it with grilled chicken or shrimp for an extra protein boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in flour and cook for 30 seconds to form a roux.
  4. Add the Cream & Cheese: Gradually whisk in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese, mozzarella (if using), cream cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine Pasta & Sauce: In a large bowl, toss the cooked fettuccine with the Alfredo sauce. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake: Sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on top. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve & Enjoy: Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Notes

  • Protein Add-ins: Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or crispy bacon for extra flavor.
  • Vegetable Variations: Mix in broccoli, spinach, or mushrooms for a nutritious twist.
  • Storage & Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of milk to maintain creaminess.
