Description

A creamy, cheesy pasta dish combining the best parts of a cheeseburger with indulgent Alfredo sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or cold-weather comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Bacon bits (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Push beef to one side of the skillet and melt butter. Pour in heavy cream and stir until heated through, about 2 minutes. Gradually add Parmesan and cheddar cheeses, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the Alfredo sauce. If sauce is too thick, stir in reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Transfer pasta to serving plates and sprinkle with bacon bits and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
