Description
A creamy, cheesy pasta dish combining the best parts of a cheeseburger with indulgent Alfredo sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or cold-weather comfort food.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Bacon bits (optional)
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Push beef to one side of the skillet and melt butter. Pour in heavy cream and stir until heated through, about 2 minutes. Gradually add Parmesan and cheddar cheeses, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the Alfredo sauce. If sauce is too thick, stir in reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer pasta to serving plates and sprinkle with bacon bits and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
