Description
These delightful treats are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, bursting with the sweet, tart flavors of fresh apples. Enjoy a perfectly crispy outer layer that gives way to a tender, juicy interior.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar (or sugar alternative)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and dry your apples. Core them and slice them into thin strips—aim for about 1/4-inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the apple slices with olive oil to lightly coat them.
- Add cinnamon and sugar to the bowl. Mix well until all the apple slices are evenly coated.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the apple fries for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once cooked, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Ensure apples are evenly sliced for uniform cooking. Use a mandoline slicer for best results.
